Research Associate / Senior Research Associate. University of Bristol

2-year Research Associate position (Post-Doc level) at the University of
Bristol (UK) to work on two projects funded by the Global Challenges
Research Fund: ‘From Everyday to Extreme: Strengthening Resilience to
Frequent Flash Floods in Perú’ and the GCRF Urban Disaster Risk Hub
‘Tomorrow’s Cities’.

Both projects are focused on flash flood and mudflow impacts in the urban
environments of Lima and Quito, and are partnered with local scientific and
risk management institutions and affected communities.

Post-Doc position at CNR-ISAC. Bolonia, Italy

The Italian National Research Council – Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate (CNR-ISAC) is looking for a doctor in Physics, Geophysics, Meteorology, Oceanography, Climate Dynamics, Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, or an equivalent subject to cover a Post-Doc position in their branch in Bolonia.

“The CNR-ISAC aims at an integrated scientific understanding of the atmosphere, the ocean and their processes, by means of a multidisciplinary approach which combines scientific and technological skills in meteorology, climate, atmospheric dynamics and composition, Earth observations; it develops basic research, theoretical, experimental and numerical, and modeling work together with impact evaluation.
ISAC is the largest CNR Institute on atmospheric sciences, structured in 7 Units over the country, 7 permanent observatories, including 3 Global Stations of the Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW) program of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and 2 atmospheric research Supersites.
ISAC is recognised internationally through its collaboration with a large number of European laboratories, and research centers worldwide.”

Post-Doctoral Position in Surface Water Hydrology, Hydro-Climatology, and Climate Change Impacts

A postdoctoral or more senior research position in surface water hydrology, hydro-climatology, and climate change impacts is available in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.  The selected researcher will join an active group of faculty, post-docs and graduate students engaged in research projects funded by NOAA, the Department of Interior, and the Nature Conservancy.  The researcher will be the lead in the development of surface water hydrology models, using fully distributed models such as DHSVM and VIC, and will contribute to the evaluation of climate change impacts in the Northeastern US and Leer más de esta entrada
